Background and Qualifications: 

Loredana earned her Masters degree in counseling from Fairfield University and received her bachelor degree in psychology from Sacred Heart University. She is a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), a CPT (Certified Personal Trainer), and FNS (Fitness Nutrition Specialist). 

Additionally, Loredana has advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Sivananda Yoga. 

As an integrative clinician, Loredana draws from a variety of tools and techniques to facilitate her clients unique process of self discovery and healing. These may include EMDR, Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. 

Her approach is holistic, and she incorporates counseling, fitness training, yoga and meditation as needed to treat the whole person: mind, body and soul. 

Loredana works with adults, older adolescents, couples and groups. She assists people who experience anxiety, stress and stress related conditions, depression, self-esteem issues, adjustment to life changes, relationship difficulties, weight, body shape and eating concerns.  She also works with athletes, helping them increase concentration and overcome competition anxiety.  The treatment received will be agreed upon by both, client and clinician, as the most appropriate and relevant treatment, as she encourages a collaborative approach. 

Loredana is also affiliated with the Wellness Program at Westport Family Counseling.

Transcend was established with the aim of sharing the powerful life-transforming effects of integrating psychotherapy, fitness and meditation with people who wish to enhance their life experience on all levels.
